Relations connected with OVOP, regulated by the Federal Law №225-FZ of 27.07.2010 "On compulsory insurance of civil liability of the owner of a dangerous object for injury in an accident at the hazardous facility". The object of compulsory insurance is the property interests of the owner of a dangerous object, related to its obligation to compensate the damage caused to the victims.
The owner of a dangerous object is obliged to conclude a contract OVOP in accordance with the law until 31 March 2012. Enter the dangerous object in operation is not permitted in the case of non-owner insurance obligations.
For many owners of dangerous objects, the amount of insurance premiums can reach more than 300 000 rubles. Those who try to ignore the OVOP await tangible administrative fines - up to 500 000, starting from April 1, 2012.
Fares and rules OVOP approved by the Russian government and are uniform for all insurance companies.
Currently manufactured forms OVOP, is the licensing of insurance companies, it developed an electronic calculator to calculate the cost of insurance.
